Before you start — PYMO by PaySprint

What documents do I need to open a PYMO account?

A plain-language checklist, so nothing surprises you during onboarding. No Canadian credit history is required — your documents are simply confirmed during verification.

Bring one photo ID and one proof of address

Option A — Canadian government ID

  • Canadian passport
  • Provincial driver's licence
  • Permanent Resident (PR) card
  • Canadian citizenship certificate

Option B — International ID

  • Any valid foreign passport — Nigerian, Ghanaian, Indian, Philippine, and every other government-issued passport
  • National ID cards — the Ghana Card, Aadhaar and similar government-issued national IDs
  • U.S. state ID or driver's licence

Your ID doesn't need to be Canadian. If you're unsure about your document, start onboarding and our verification team will confirm.

Proof of your Canadian address — any one of these

  • Utility bill (hydro, internet, phone)
  • Lease or tenancy agreement
  • Bank or credit card statement
  • Letter from a government agency

Dated within the last 90 days and showing your name and address. Brand new to Canada without one yet? Start with your passport — verification will confirm what else your situation needs.

Can I use my Nigerian passport or Ghana Card?

Yes — any valid government-issued passport is accepted, and many national ID cards such as the Ghana Card are too.

My documents aren't in English or French

That's fine — a certified translation can be provided during verification.

Do I need a Canadian credit history?

No. You can open a PYMO account whether you've been in Canada ten years or ten days.

Protect yourself from newcomer scams

PaySprint will never ask you to send money to release a job offer, a visa, or an apartment. If someone asks you to pay to unlock one of these, it is a scam.
